Hello, everyone. I'm DL (Daniel or Levin) Brown. Welcome to my digital home. I'm happy you're here. By day, I work on machine learning projects with a focus on health care. And then also I have three great kids. By night, I work on my brewery in my hometown of Hillsborough, The Regulator.

Past Work:

I've been fortunate enough to do many things so far in life:

  • Did my undergrad at UNC-CH and lived in Beijing and Yunnan
  • Was an Investigating Officer in the US Coast Guard and participated extensively in the response to Hurricane Katrina
  • Organized and ran a handful of personal and commercial outdoor trips in Sichuan, Tibet, and Yunnan
  • Took all the classes to go back to med school while I worked as an EMT and in an Emergency Department
  • Earned my MD and was a Graduate Innovation Fellow at the UNC School of Medicine
  • Got my MPH and was Dean's Challenge Finalist while the Harvard School of Public Health
  • Ran a consultancy called Fleet Health that built AI models and interoperability tooling for Harvard and UNC
